Having recently moved from Western Canada to Ontario, more specifically to the GTA area, Telma Asper began her cake decorating career in Canada in l988, and has since been successfully involved in the art of sugarcraft. From modern cakes, classics, to art deco designs, not to mention her works of art when it comes to specialty cakes, Telma will provide her Toronto and GTA clientele the best sugar-art the trade has to offer.

Having also worked outside Canada, Telma has not only become a true master in sugar art, but is also one of Canada’s top professionals. Well known throughout Western Canada, Telma devoted years of her life honouring the weddings of hundreds of Canadians from all backgrounds, including well known celebrities and sports professionals; such as Wendel Clark, amongst others.

Telma’s work and determination have inspired many younger cake decorators who sought to perfect their skills through her teachings. Over the years, her passion and amazing perfectionism have been reflected in each hand-crafted masterpiece; from a simple flower to complex triple extension work. With over 20 years of cake design experience, Telma is proud to be one of the pioneers in Canada in the art of Fondant Icing wedding cakes. Telma is one of the few designers at her level that does not delegate her work. Every cake bearing Telma Asper’s prestigious logo is 100% designed and crafted by the designer herself. Thus Telma only accepts one to two wedding cakes a week.

To this day, Telma believes that every bride deserves its unique wedding cake design.
